Fighter pilots are one of the most highly regarded and desirable positions of any air force. Selection processes only accept the elite out of all the potential candidates. An individual who possesses an exceptional academic record, physical fitness, healthy well-being, and a strong mental drive will have a higher chance of being selected for pilot training. Candidates are also expected to exhibit strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
A fighter pilot is a military aviator trained to engage in air-to-air combat while in the cockpit of a fighter aircraft. Fighter pilots undergo specialized training in aerial warfare and close range aerial combat. They operate in very intense environments where safety is paramount.
The following fighter pilots have endorsed Frank Schmuck for Arizona State Senate.
The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the president to those wounded or killed while serving, with the U.S. military. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award still given to U.S. military members and was established by President George Washington.
Frank Schmuck has distinguished himself as a veteran who cares about other veterans, exemplifies the words "service before self," and has been willing to risk his life to do so. Frank took on the fight to secure benefits, compensation and care for veterans diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. His selfless service didn't stop there. Frank's research to help veterans with ALS also ended up helping children by ensuring that a preservative, now known to be a neurotoxin, was removed from pediatric vaccines.
The following Purple Heart Recipients have endorsed Frank Schmuck for Arizona State Senate in Legislative District 18.

Brent Phillips, Operation Iraqi Freedom
Jason Bedore, Operation Iraqi Freedom
Reports of sexual violence on university campuses in Arizona are on the rise. Last year Arizona State University received nearly 2,000 reports of sexual violence and even worse 19 reports of rape. It's important that all women be allowed to defend themselves. Senator Bowie denied campus women this right. Being able to carry nonlethal protection such as sprays or even a TASR on a school grounds can curb these acts without inflicting loss of life. We need someone who can stand up for women and our safety. A vote for Frank is a vote for women's safety. I encourage all to vote for Frank Schmuck this November.
Arizona Senator Sylvia Allen
Senate Education Chairman
Frank Schmuck cares about our community. He cares about teachers, our students and their families. When he says he is building a better future he not only means it, he has a record that proves it.
I know first hand the demands placed on commercial pilots -- their attention to detail and how important safety is in their everyday lives. The people of Chandler can expect to have their safety put first with Frank Schmuck representing them. You can also expect that Frank will bring leadership and a real world understanding to the Senate.
I'm encouraging all residents of Chandler to Vote for Frank Schmuck for Arizona State Senate on or before November 6, 2018.
As you know, Ahwatukee has been my home since I was a little kid. I know our community, your needs, and all the great people who have made Ahwatukee and the Foothills one of the best places to live not just in Phoenix, but in the entire country.
Frank Schmuck is one of us. Like me, Frank understands the needs of our community, our schools, and our people. When our schools were struggling, Frank Schmuck stepped up, bringing the "Adopt-A-Pilot" program along with thousands of dollars in much needed supplies to our schools here in Ahwatukee. Because that's what he does. When Frank sees someone in need, he steps up to help, not for himself, but because the guy really does care. Every fiber of his being is dedicated to helping others. And he's proved it in service to our country, our community, and our people.
Frank Schmuck is bilingual and the son of an immigrant who understands the cultural diversity issues affecting our community. He knows what it takes to bring different groups together and work together on finding solutions to problems. I encourage Chandler residents to vote for Frank Schmuck for Arizona Senate.
Dr. Sam Huang, City of Chandler Councilman

I met Frank Schmuck after 9-11-2001 as we worked together on the first ever Patriot Parade in Arizona to support America's Police, Firefighters and Patriots. The parade had more than 7,342 motorcycles and over 12,000 people participate. Mr. Schmuck put together and led a contingency of airline crew members (pilots and flight attendants) in memory of those who lost their lives on that horrific day. Frank has been a staunch supporter of our law enforcement and fire fighters. As a military veteran he knows the word sacrifice and isn't afraid to make one. I'm asking Law Enforcement, Fire, Veterans and their families to vote for Frank Schmuck for AZ Senate in Legislative District 18. He knows about safety and cares about our first responders and their families. I SUPPORT FRANK SCHMUCK!

The health of our community is vital to its success as a whole. As the chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee – responsible for overseeing Arizona’s health and welfare agencies and boards, I know this first hand. It is this experience that has brought about my endorsement of Mr. Frank Schmuck in his bid for the Legislative District 18 seat.
Frank Schmuck cares deeply about the health of our community, especially our veterans. In fact, his induction into the Arizona Veteran’s Hall of Fame was in part because of his efforts in convincing the Federal Government to compensate and care for all veterans diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
As your next State Senator, Frank will continue to improve the health of the community with an emphasis on veteran health and suicide prevention.
Preserve Arizona’s health and offer Frank Schmuck your vote this coming election.
Arizona Senator Nancy Barto, Health and Human Services Committee Chair

Because of Frank Schmuck’s work at the grass-roots level to make a difference for his community, the entire state of Arizona soon saw the application of rubberized asphalt in many other, noise-sensitive locations. Sure, many now claim the use of rubberized asphalt was a fait accompli. Well, they weren’t there. I was. Frank Schmuck made the difference.
I came to know Frank Schmuck more than 15 years ago when he was serving on U.S. Senator John McCain's Service Academy Selection Board. Frank is the kind of person who really cares about doing the right thing. As a former Arizona State Senator I can tell you his attention to detail and focus on finding solutions to problems will serve the legislature well as he has Arizona and the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Jim Waring, PhD, City of Phoenix Councilman District 2

As an educator and lifelong resident of the State of Arizona, I ask you to vote for Frank Schmuck for Arizona Senate in Legislative District 18 because he cares about our students and our teachers and will do what is right.

Infrastructure has always been important to the people of Chandler. Without it we would not have a great fire department, airport, road, waste and water distribution master plans. Frank Schmuck with a degree in engineering understands infrastructure and as a decorated Air Force veteran understands service. Frank will be a great asset to the legislature and the people of Chandler in the Arizona State Senate. Chandler residents cast your vote for Frank Schmuck for Arizona Senate on or before November 6, 2018.

The Distinguished Flying Cross is a military decoration awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the United States Armed Forces who distinguishes himself or herself in support of operations by "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight."
Captain Kevin Allen was awarded the Air Force's Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions in a General Dynamics F-111 during the First Persian Gulf War. Captain Allen is a resident of Legislative District 18 and had this to say about Frank Schmuck.
As a state senator from District 22, I highly endorse Frank Schmuck for the Arizona senate in Legislative District 18. Frank possesses the will, strength and character to represent the Arizona values we all benefit from, and why we enjoy living in our beloved Grand Canyon State. Say “NO” to California’s failed values and policies. Say “NO” to the Democrat candidate that chooses to run in California collecting California money. It’s imperative that we keep Arizona values in the hands of Arizona citizens. Vote Frank Schmuck for state senator in Legislative District 18.
Judy Burges, Arizona State Senator Legislative District 22
